Drinks with ingredients such as egg whites, syrups and fruit are shaken, then strained to remove any items like bits of ice and fruit that could spoil the look of the drink.
For fresh squeezed juices, you can estimate that the average lemon or lime will yield about an ounce of juice, an orange will yield between 1 1/2 - 3 oz. of juice depending on it's size.

Try peach schnapps with fruit drinks or add clear spirits such as vodka to vegetable juices. More full-bodied spirits, such as brandy or tequila, make a good addition to both fruit and vegetable-based drinks.
